We take great pleasure in introducing the Sahyadri Education Trust’s Sahyadri Polytechnic,Thirthahalli.The Polytechnic was founded by Sahyadri Education Trust in 1985 by the magnificence anf single minded devotion of foresighted and noble minded,ex-director of Board of technical education Sri M.R.D. Gowda to the rural areas under the Chairmainship of Sri.D.B.Chandre Gowda , Former Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly and Present Member of Parliment from Bangalore North Constituency.to impart much needed technical education in this part of Shimoga district.
The polytechnic has made considerable progress under the chairmainship of the dynamic administrator, Sri. Aroor Ramesh Rao from 1996 and the institutions workshops and the library have improved to an appreciable level and the constructions of building and workshops are completed with full pledged equipments and laboratories available. Under Sri. Aroor Ramesh Rao’s shrewd guidance and able administration of the institution improved to it’s present position of recognition not only in rural malnad but through this region .
